Nigeria Pavilion at the London Design Biennale (2025)

Agusto acted as a Cultural Collaborator for the Nigeria Pavilion by Myles Igwebuike for the 2025 London Design Biennale. She contributed research on metallurgical legacies from a Yoruba and Edo perspective. Her essay ‘The Design of the Divine’, which highlights abstract scientific concepts embedded in Yoruba and Edo creation myths, is featured in the pavilion publication. The pavilion received a Special Mention by the International Jury.

BBC Doctor Who ‘The Story and the Engine’ (2025)

Agusto acted as an Art Consultant, creating artworks for the animated visuals in the BBC Doctor Who episode ‘The Story and the Engine’ written by Inua Ellams MBE. This is the first episode of Doctor Who set in Africa, specifically in a barbershop in Lagos, Nigeria —Agusto’s hometown.

‘The Big Issue’ Wrapping Paper (2024)

Agusto was invited to be one of few selected artists to design wrapping paper for The Big Issue’s annual limited edition wrapping paper campaign. All proceeds go towards combatting homelessness in the UK.

Puppet Design at Theatre Rites (2024)

Agusto consulted on puppet design during the R&D process for a dance performance choreographed by Greg Maqoma at Sadler’s Wells.

‘Masking the Unseen’ (2022)

Agusto curated a duo exhibition featuring the works of Wale Matuluko and Yadichinma Ukoha-Kalu at MILIKI, Lagos. The exhibition focuses on contemporary remediations of traditional masking practices as means of capturing the unseen. The exhibition was presented in collaboration with SABO Art Advisory.

Kenneth Ize SS22 (2021)

Agusto created artworks to adorn the catwalk for the Kenneth Ize SS22 fashion show at Palais de Tokyo. She notably created oil paintings and screen prints on aso oke, using the Nigerian fabric that was a key motif in Ize’s clothing.

YANA Directory (2021)

Agusto acted as a Research Collaborator for YANA (Young Aspiring Nigerian Architects). She worked with the team to develop a website that acted as a growing archive of information about Nigerian and West African architecture to aid research in the field.
